Job summary

SAIC seeks a Software Engineer (Part-Time) to support evaluation, system design, and software engineering for transitioning open source prototypes to an in-house infrastructure. The role is based in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities include deploying web apps in cloud environments, integrating with databases via APIs, front-end work to host models, and applying AI/ML techniques to demo and transition tools. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 9+ years experience or Master's with 7+ years or PhD/JD with 4+ years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Demonstrated full stack web development with JavaScript, PHP, R, Python, NodeJs, and/or MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Install externally developed web applications on a cloud environment infrastructure.
• Ensure web applications communicate with external and internal databases using API keys.
• Modify web applications and work independently on projects as needed.
• Provide front end development to host models and connect APIs to demo and transition tools.
• Utilize AI/ML models to integrate with front-end development.
• Local travel as needed; travel around local performance area.

SAIC is seeking aSoftware Engineer (Part- Time). The Software Engineer will assist in the evaluation, system design, and software engineering support to transition, primarily open source, software prototypes and algorithms to a proprietary r infrastructure for deployment throughout the organization.

This position is located inChantilly, VAand requires anactive TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Install externally developed web applications on a cloud environment infrastructure.
• Ensure the web applications communicates with external and internal databases, using API keys.
• Modify the web applications as required and be able to work independently on the project as needed.
• Provide front end development to host models and connect APIs in order to demo and transition tools in software.
• Utilize AI/ML models to integrate with front-end development. TRAVEL: Local travel/POV will be on an as needed basis, within the local place of performance.
• Local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Demonstrated experience with full stack web development using JavaScript, PHP, R, Python, NodeJs, and/or MongoDB.
• Demonstrated experience working with client-side code such as Angular, Bootstrap, Material, jQuery.
• Demonstrated experience with REST APIs and data ETL.
• Demonstrated experience with Linux System Administration and associated scripting languages (Bash).
• Demonstrated experience with NoSQL and MySQL databases.
• Demonstrated experience with web app installation and deployment.
• Demonstrated experience with web-based software development.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience working within cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or similar.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) models.

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated experience with Cloud-based Relational Database Services (RDS). 2. Demonstrated experience with JIRA and Confluence.
