Job summary

Keysight is seeking a Software Engineer to develop high-performance software for our oscilloscope platform. You’ll work at the intersection of software, hardware, and AI-driven innovation, designing and maintaining embedded software for advanced measurement systems.

You will collaborate with hardware, QA, manufacturing, and product teams to deliver robust solutions across the product lifecycle, including AI-enabled features and next-generation test tools.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience developing software for embedded systems, microcontrollers, or hardware-interfacing applications.
• Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and software development principles.
• Experience building, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting software applications.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience developing software for embedded systems, microcontrollers, or hardware-interfacing applications.
• Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and software development principles.
• Experience building, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting software applications.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern C++ development.
• Understanding of digital design, electronic circuits, and electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes or electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with FPGA, SoC, robotics, instrumentation, or related hardware technologies.
• Experience working in Windows and/or Linux development environments.
• Experience with source control tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with engineering collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience using electronic lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, and digital multimeters.
• Passion for emerging technologies, including AI-assisted software development.

Other Information

The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.
Colorado Pay Range MIN $89,600.00, Mid. $119,460.00, MAX $149,330.00
