Job summary

Google's Android Platform team in San Jose, CA is seeking a Software Engineer, Mobile (Android) to drive mobile solutions at scale. You will write and review code, collaborate across teams, and help shape the next generation of Google mobile experiences.

The role requires mid-level Android development experience with Java/Kotlin/C++, strong problem solving, and a willingness to mentor peers. Competitive compensation includes bonus targets and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience programming in Java, Kotlin, or C++.
• 2 years of experience with Android application development.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field (preferred).
• 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging (preferred).
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an academic or industry setting (preferred).
• Experience developing accessible technologies (preferred).
• Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering (preferred).

• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.

• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US Salary Range

$147,000 - $211,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
