Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Front End Engineer to advance the data visualization stack that powers real-time charting for ML experiments. You’ll optimize line plots, scale components to millions of points, and implement features aiding AI researchers in exploring data and improving models.

Working with product designers and backend engineers, you’ll push for smooth, 60fps interactivity and efficient data streaming. This role focuses on performance, architecture, and user experience within the UI.

What You’ll Do

• Join the fullstack Weights & Biases History team, focusing on the core visualization engine that powers experiment tracking for over 1,000 organizations and labs building AI across LLMs, agents, robotics, drug discovery, and more. Build highly performant, interactive, and intuitive tools to help ML practitioners visualize complex training metrics in real‑time.

About the Role

• Work as a Front End Engineer on Data Visualization, focusing on the architecture and performance of line plots within the W&B UI.
• Scale charting components to handle millions of data points with smooth interactivity.
• Implement new features that help AI researchers at the world’s top labs explore their data and build better models.
• Collaborate with product designers to refine user experiences and with back‑end engineers to optimize data streaming for charts.

Who You Are

• Exhibit extensive experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Have expertise in web‑based visualization libraries.
• Show demonstrated ability to measure and optimize front‑end performance for rendering large datasets and maintaining 60fps interactions.
• Approach work with curiosity, seeking deep technical knowledge rather than just moving tickets.
• Collaborate effectively, sharing knowledge and working with others on debugging and customer issues.

Preferred

• Background in Machine Learning workflows or strong interest in the AI/ML ecosystem.
• Experience with Canvas/WebGL or visualization libraries such as Canvas/WebGL, React vis, or uPlot.
