Job summary

Bow Wave LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Department of Homeland Security with building and maintaining data processing pipelines and ingestion workflows using Java, Spring Boot, XML/XSLT.

You will design and implement data ingestion, integrate with APIs and databases (SQL/NoSQL), and help deploy in on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments while maintaining federal standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional Java development experience, with a focus on data processing or integration.
• Strong understanding of data formats (JSON, CSV, XML) and transformation techniques.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Security clearance level: Secret; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED The Software Engineer must have:

• Understanding of security and compliance standards (FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP).
