Job summary

ng-voice in the United States is seeking a Software Engineer (m/f/d) to develop next‑gen IMS features in Go, across cloud‑native services and distributed systems. You will build high‑performance Go applications, optimize distributed systems, and improve operational efficiency in a cloud‑native environment.

You will work with Kubernetes, Redis, MySQL, and Prometheus to deliver signaling components, while aligning with 3GPP specs and operating in a hybrid‑remote startup culture.

Qualifications

• Strong Go proficiency with goroutines and channels.
• Solid understanding of SIP and Diameter signaling.
• Experience with Linux systems and low-level networking.
• Experience with automation scripting (Python or Bash).

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale IMS features using Go in a cloud-native environment.
• Work across IMS nodes (P/S/I-CSCF, MMTel) to modernize signaling.
• Implement and test SIP, Diameter, RTP protocols in micro-services.
• Optimize performance and reliability with Kubernetes and observability.
• Align with 3GPP specs and ensure interoperability.
• Collaborate in a hybrid-remote startup setup.

We're hiring a talented Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team in developing next-gen features for our IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) solution. You will build high-performance Go applications, optimize distributed systems, and improve operational efficiency in a cloud-native environment.

Tasks

What You’ll Do

• Next-Gen IMS Development: Develop and scale features for our IMS solution using Go (Golang), following a test-driven development (TDD) approach.
• Core Network Logic: Work across the full spectrum of IMS nodes (P/S/I-CSCF, MMTel, etc.), transitioning legacy signaling patterns into high-performance Go services.
• Protocol Implementation: Handle signaling and media protocols (SIP, Diameter, RTP) directly within Go-based micro-services.
• System Optimization: Perform deep-track testing, validation, and optimization to ensure low-latency performance and high-quality deliverables.
• Standards Alignment: Interpret 3GPP specifications and implement them to ensure our IMS solution remains industry-compliant and interoperable.
• Cloud-Native Operations: Work with a modern stack including Kubernetes, Redis, MySQL, and Prometheus build resilient, self-healing network functions.

• Strong Go Proficiency: Deep experience in Go (Golang) is, specifically with currency patterns (go routines/channels) and performance tuning.
• Telephony & Signaling: Solid understanding of telephony standards, specifically SIP and Diameter.
• Systems Expertise: Very comfortable working in Linux environments and understanding low-level networking (TCP/UDP/SCTP).
• Scripting: Knowledge of Python or Bash for automation and tooling.
• Problem Solver: Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug complex distributed systems.
