Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) | Advanced Programs group seeks a Software Engineer – Level 3 or 4 to advance automated deployments and cloud-enabled software in a fast-paced Agile R&D setting. Located on-site in Boulder, CO, you will Develop and maintain complex math software, write high-quality code, and collaborate across disciplines.

The role requires strong C++ skills, Linux experience, and a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of related experience or Master’s with 3+ years; or PhD.
• Active in-scope Top Secret security clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.
• Experience with modern C++, development tools and IDEs.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD toolchains or similar.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker/Podman).
• Experience with Linux environments and debugging C++ applications.
• Familiarity with IPC, data structures, and OOP concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and tools like GitLab and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support automated build, integration and deployment workflows.
• Deploy software in containerized and orchestrated environments.
• Perform C++ development including build, test, integration and debugging.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and pair programming.
• Contribute to technical documentation and customer-facing presentations.
