Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Aurora, CO is seeking a Software Engineer at Level 2 or 3 for 100% onsite work. Design, implement, test, and debug software and systems with cross-disciplinary teams. You will drive architecture decisions and ensure standards while engaging customers to deliver robust solutions.

This role requires TS/SCI clearance (CI Poly to start) and a background in agile leadership, planning, and scheduling. Active funding and final clearances determine start timing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or Master’s with 0 years, or 4+ years substituted.
  • Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance at time of application; CI Poly required to start.
  • Experience with software architecture, design, and development.

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Software Engineer – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Aurora, CO. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

  • Please be aware that this position will be contingent upon capturing program award(s), obtaining and maintaining customer funding, and holding final clearances (if applicable) prior to start date.

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
  • Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
  • Ensures software standards are met.
  • Other duties as assigned

This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application. Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph required to start.
  • Experience with software architecture, design, and development.
  • Experience with Agile leadership (product owner and scrum master), planning, and scheduling.
  • Experience with Technical customer engagement and interaction.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.
Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application. Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph required to start.
  • Experience with software architecture, design, and development.
  • Experience with Agile leadership (product owner and scrum master), planning, and scheduling.
  • Experience with Technical customer engagement and interaction.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Perl and Python desirable.
  • Adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly)

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
