PNC is seeking a Software Engineer Lead to join its Technology organization. Based in Denver, CO or other listed locations, you will provide technical leadership for enterprise applications and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and performance.

The role emphasizes architectural design, collaboration, and hands-on development with Java and Oracle databases, with strong emphasis on monitoring and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Serve as SME for assigned applications and provide technical leadership.
• Lead the support, maintenance, and improvement of enterprise applications built on Java, leveraging Oracle databases, SQL, and ETL processes to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
• Monitor application health and operational performance using tools such as Dynatrace, proactively identifying issues, driving root cause analysis, and implementing preventive solutions.
• Partner with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams to troubleshoot complex production issues, validate integrations, and support end-to-end application stability.

Responsibilities

• Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
• Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
• Facilitates complex problem resolution.
• Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
• Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
