Job summary

Emtakllc is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance mission-critical software systems in a role requiring TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility. The position is based in Annapolis Junction, MD with up to 16 hours of telework per week.

Responsibilities include building Python applications, containerized deployments with Docker, and MongoDB data solutions, collaborating via Git, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across multiple sites, while ensuring high availability and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline required; seven years of SWE experience in similar scope preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, Docker, and MongoDB.
• Strong Git and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Exposure to Ansible, JIRA, Bitbucket, and Terraform is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes is desired.

Target Salary Range: $132,000 - $178,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and Seven (7) years’ experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree and will be considered on a case by case basis.
• Proficiency in Python, Docker, and MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of Git and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies.
