Job summary

Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a Software Engineer – Java & Pega Integration to support a mission-critical modernization program for a DoW customer. The role focuses on integrating Java Spring Boot applications with a Pega-based status tracker to provide a unified sign-on and a shared work surface for a common platform.

You will maintain API gateway connections, troubleshoot defects, apply patches, and keep runbooks current.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing and supporting Java applications using Spring Boot and REST integrations.
• Hands-on experience integrating with or developing applications on the Pega platform.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS GovCloud environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a Software Engineer – Java & Pega Integration to support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War (DoW) customer. This program focuses on simplifying access across a portfolio of production applications by providing a unified sign-on experience, a common work surface, and a repeatable approach for integrating applications into a shared platform.

The Software Engineer will support the integration and sustainment of Java Spring Boot applications with a Pega-based status tracking system, ensuring seamless functionality while maintaining the reliability of existing applications.

Application Integration & Sustainment

Maintain the API gateway integration between a Java Spring Boot application and a Pega-based status tracker.

• Troubleshoot and resolve defects across Java and Pega integration boundaries.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve application defects to ensure continued system functionality.
• Apply software patches and updates in accordance with the customer's established release calendar.
• Maintain accurate and current operational runbooks to support application sustainment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing and supporting Java applications using Spring Boot and REST integrations.
• Hands-on experience integrating with or developing applications on the Pega platform.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Amazon ECS/Fargate.
• Experience working within AWS GovCloud environments.

Work Location and Schedule

Location: Remote

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern. The team operates in two-week sprints, with a customer demonstration each sprint.

Travel: 0–10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Security Requirement: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance. An active Secret clearance or higher.

Compensation

$130,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience.
