Job summary

Accenture Federal Services in Arlington, VA is seeking a Cleared Software Engineer with deep Java and Spring Boot experience to contribute to the OpenFGA wrapper service and supporting tools, writing clean, maintainable code under guidance from senior engineers.

You will implement API endpoints, write tests, participate in code reviews and CI/CD improvements, and collaborate closely with the onboarding team while coordinating with cloud platforms such as AWS and container tooling.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cloud‑native development on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Java and building microservices using Spring Boot.
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, and streaming concepts
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• Familiarity with automated build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices
• Ability to work on‑site in Arlington, VA two to three days per week
