[untitled] is seeking a senior iOS/macOS engineer to ship features in the iOS codebase, lead the macOS app, and run AI models locally on the Mac. You will collaborate directly with the founding iOS engineer and design team, pushing the craft surface with custom UX and animations.
You’ll own performance, quality, and responsiveness, raise engineering standards, and help shape a music-focused product with a small, autonomous team.
7+ years of iOS engineering
Fluency in Swift and Objective-C
Experience connecting iOS apps to backend services
Strong grasp of iOS frameworks, design patterns, and the full mobile lifecycle
A complex client-side system you personally architected and shipped. you can explain every decision, what you chose not to do, and what broke
Shipped real work at startups or small teams
Side projects or apps you've put into the App Store. things you built because you wanted them to exist (the bar is something like our founding iOS engineer's music practice journal app, which has 30,000+ downloads and a 4.9 rating)
Exploratory communication. you think out loud, name tradeoffs, stay low-ego when corrected
Comfort with ambiguity and high autonomy. nobody here is going to assign you work
Passion for craft. you treat UI like art
Core Data, Core Animation, and other Apple frameworks
Cloud message APIs and push notifications
Strong opinions on UI/UX
Performance and memory tuning
