Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking an iOS Software Engineer to join the Snapchat Messaging team. You will design, build, and ship messaging features for the iOS app, focusing on core chat, media messaging, notifications, and real-time performance.

The role collaborates with product, design, and backend teams to define the roadmap and improve reliability. Strong emphasis on performance tuning, observability, and end-to-end shipping of consumer iOS features.

• Strong understanding of networking, async/concurrent programming, and performance tuning on iOS.
• Ability to understand the operational aspects of your system and may participate in incident or hotfix investigation and resolution.
• Ability to collaborate and work well with others.
• Proven track record of shipping consumer iOS features end to end.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship high-quality messaging features in the Snapchat iOS app.

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC)

The base salary range for this position is $118,000-$176,000 annually.

Zone B

The base salary range for this position is $112,000-$167,000 annually.

Zone C

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$150,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
