Job summary

Mirage is an AI video company that builds creative tools for AI-native workflows. Our iOS team owns end-to-end product experiences across UI, graphics rendering, and media processing, delivering polished experiences to creators.

As part of a small, collaborative team, you’ll own features from concept through shipping, with ample ownership, rapid iteration, and opportunities to shape the future of mobile video software at Mirage.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional industry experience.
• Track record of shipping high-impact native mobile products.
• Strong CS fundamentals and practical time-management.

Mirage is an AI video company focused on making creation dramatically easier. Our team tackles some of the hardest creative and technical challenges in generative media. We get to rethink how people collaborate with AI that can actually do creative work with them—defining entirely new interaction paradigms for AI-native video tools. We make that possible by building multimodal agents that turn creative direction into edits, rendering engines that composite multiple layers of video and graphics, and generative video models trained from the ground up that create new media when needed. All of this comes together in Captions, our creative workspace for generating, editing, and designing video. The technology behind Captions is now available more broadly: Tesseract gives any AI agent native video-editing capabilities, while developers can integrate our models into their own products through APIs.

About the role

Our iOS team owns end-to-end product experiences for creative workflows—pushing the boundaries of the iOS ecosystem by building sophisticated creative tools that span delightful user interfaces, graphics rendering, and audio/video processing. As a small, collaborative team, our product engineers are trusted with a high degree of ownership and agency.

Responsibilities

• Push the boundaries of iOS and build products that shape the future of video software
• Collaborate with designers and the broader team to conceptualize and ship incredible experiences directly to users
• Operate effectively in an extremely fast-paced environment as well as scope and deliver projects end-to-end
• Instrument, A/B, and iterate rapidly with production data

What makes you a great fit

• 2+ years of professional industry experience
• A track record of shipping high‑impact, native mobile products in production
• Excellent engineering taste combined with a strong sense of practicality and time-management
• Experience with (ideally a few) SwiftUI, Combine, RxSwift, ReactiveSwift, AVFoundation, Core Animation, and Realm
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (algorithms and data structures).

Even better if…

• You have experience with OpenGL or Metal
• You are grounded, collaborative, and willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win
• You have been a startup founder or an early engineer at one
