Job summary

IMC Trading is offering a 10-week Software Engineer internship in Chicago. You will receive trainings, mentorship, and development opportunities while tackling meaningful projects alongside traders and technologists.

We expect a CS/Engineering student graduating 2027–2028, with strong algorithms/data structures knowledge and Java or C++ experience. Start date: June 7, 2027; base salary of $200,000 with discretionary bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Pursuing CS/Engineering degree and graduating 2027-2028.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures required.
• Proficient in a programming language (Java or C++ preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and interest in solving complex problems programmatically.
• Desire to collaborate with technical and non-technical teammates in a dynamic environment.
• Interest in the Financial Markets; previous knowledge is NOT required.
• Must be able to start internship on June 7, 2027.

Our 10-week internship is your chance to experience life as a Software Engineer at IMC. Your Skills and Experience

• Current university student graduating between September 2027 - July 2028 that is pursuing a Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology degree

The Base Salary range for the role is included below. Base salary is only one component of total compensation; all full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including paid leave and insurance.
