Job summary

Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, seeks a Software Engineer Intern to join our Connected Systems team in the United States. You will contribute to software across embedded systems, IoT, cloud services, and user-facing apps while collaborating with engineers across disciplines to deliver innovative solutions.

This full-time internship (40 hours/week) offers hands-on experience designing, testing, and implementing scalable software components, with guidance from senior engineers and opportunities

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Programming experience in at least one language (C#, Python, Javascript, or C++).
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, testing, and implementing scalable and secure software components.
• Write, test, and debug code under guidance from senior engineers.
• Support troubleshooting efforts and help optimize existing codebases.
• Participate in research of new technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software integrates effectively across systems.
• Document work clearly and present findings or progress to the engineering team.
