Job summary

Point72's Technology Team offers a Software Engineer Internship providing hands-on experience in developing software for asset management, trading systems, and data analysis tools. You will review code, maintain codebases, and apply AI, machine learning, big data, and cloud computing concepts to real financial problems.

You will work with cross-functional teams, document design decisions, and present your work to stakeholders while engaging with senior professionals in a fast-paced hedge fund

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree expected between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C++.
• Familiarity with Git and JIRA.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, writing, verbal communication, and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and enhancing software applications that support asset management functions, including trading systems, research platforms, and data analysis tools.
• Code reviews, maintaining existing codebases, and ensuring software scalability and integrity.
• Technologies and methodologies like AI, machine learning, big data, and cloud computing to solve complex problems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with business goals and processes.
