Job summary

ARA seeks a Software Engineer Intern in Baton Rouge, LA to join a team of developers and engineers. You will design, develop, and debug applications using C#, Java, or JavaScript within an agile environment, contributing to frontend work with React, Angular, or Vue.

An internship position is open for qualified undergraduates or graduates, with potential for transition to full-time. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

ARA is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We are a 100% employee-owned scientific research and engineering company dedicated to solving critical national problems to improve our safety, security, and way of life. You will work with other developers and engineers to design and develop products for a diverse range of clients. As a member of our development team, you will work in an agile environment focused on delivering high-quality software to our clients.

An internship is available for qualified undergraduate or graduate students studying towards a career in software development. The possibility of a transition to full-time employment is possible. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Up to 40 hours/week (during summer) and reduced hours (20 to 30 hours/week) during the school year (dependent upon available work). ARA’s interns are valued members of the team, tasked with work that is critical to the success of our projects.

What We Do

Our software development projects involve:

• Designing, developing, and debugging applications in C#, Java, or JavaScript
• Frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Performing code analysis and review

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or higher in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications
