Perplexity is looking for experienced Infrastructure Engineers to join our small team revolutionizing the way people search and interact with the internet. You will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and scaling of tools, systems, and platforms that empower web, mobile, and browser engineers to build state-of-the-art products. You’ll play a critical role in enabling our product, AI, and developer teams to innovate quickly while ensuring reliability, security, and performance at scale.

Teams and Roles

• Senior / Staff Platform – The Platform team enables product reliability, scalability, and performance, supporting back-end systems (authentication, real-time data flows, service orchestration) and front-end frameworks to deliver fast, reliable, and secure user experiences.
• Senior / Staff DevX – DevX (Developer Experience) provides internal platforms for source control, build, test, and deployment; focuses on onboarding, CI/CD, and developer tools to support fast, reliable product development.
• Senior / Staff Cloud Infra – Cloud Infra designs and operates the cloud infrastructure for compute, storage, and networking to support high-throughput, low-latency workloads, in collaboration with product, security, and AI teams.
• Senior / Staff API – API team designs, builds, and secures high-performance APIs powering user-facing apps, third-party integrations, and enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and scaling of infrastructure tools, systems, and platforms.
• Enable web, mobile, and browser engineers to build state-of-the-art products with reliability, security, and performance at scale.
• Collaborate with product, AI research, and security teams to ensure services are available and performant as user and model scale grows.

Compensation

The cash compensation for this role is: $200,000 - $300,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
