Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for an onsite role in Albuquerque, NM. The position is a full-time contract (12 months) focused on architecture, design, and development of space systems software.

You will lead code reviews, coordinate with stakeholders, and explore new technologies to improve reliability and performance. The ideal candidate has a TS clearance with SCI eligibility, 10+ years of CS experience and strong OO design skills, plus hands-on experience with

• Experience with space and satellite ground systems or related mission applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading the architecture, design, development, and analyses of software systems
• Partners with appropriate stakeholders to oversee translation of software requirements and models that meet customer, operational and performance requirements
• Assist in completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues and opportunities

As a Software Engineer, you will:

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Assist in leading the architecture, design, development, and analyses of software systems
• Partners with appropriate stakeholders to oversee translation of software requirements and models that meet customer, operational and performance requirements
• Assist in completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues and opportunities
• Leads software team to successfully complete code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards.
• Oversee review of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards.
• Researches and oversees implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have:

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or above degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent experience
• Experience with one or more of the following: Java, C++, Python, JS frameworks (REACT, jQuery UI, Open Layers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, REST, and Open API.
• Experience using dependency management and automation services (e.g. Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, etc.)
