Job summary

V2Soft is seeking an experienced Software QA Automation Engineer to join our Ann Arbor, MI team. The role emphasizes Java automation, API testing, CI/CD, and validating enterprise applications across databases and messaging systems.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Playwright, RestAssured, Spring Boot 2, GraphQL, Postman, and modern CI/CD tooling, working in an Agile environment. On-site collaboration in Michigan is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software/QA industry experience in Agile environments.
• 5+ years of Java coding experience.
• Hands-on with Playwright, Java, RestAssured, Spring Boot 2, GraphQL and/or Postman.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AMQ.
• Experience with Jenkins/JenkinsX and CI/CD processes.
• Strong Git/Stash and source-control practices.
• Strong SQL skills for test data preparation and data validation.
• Experience with manual and automated testing.
• Experience with JIRA and defect management.
• Knowledge of databases and data formats used in application testing.
• Experience with service‑oriented architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test strategies, test scenarios, and automation estimates.
• Build and execute unit, component, integration, acceptance, load, security, scalability, usability, and platform tests.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using industry-standard tools.
• Partner with developers to identify technical solutions and ensure comprehensive application test coverage.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support execution across multiple environments.
• Analyze test failures, create detailed defects, validate fixes, and update automation as needed.
• Participate in code reviews and follow automation coding standards and best practices.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify unexpected application behavior.
• Support QA, development, and production release activities and provide test results for production sign-off.
• Participate in Major Incident and Emergency Change analysis and identify opportunities to automate regression testing.

We are seeking an experienced Software QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Ann Arbor, MI. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in Java automation, API testing, CI/CD, databases, messaging systems, and enterprise application testing.

• Experience testing high‑traffic eCommerce applications.
