Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Software Engineer – Image Formation / Reconstruction to contribute to high-performance software and numerical algorithms for molecular imaging technologies, spanning data correction, image formation, and reconstruction methods.

You will collaborate with software engineers, physicists, researchers, and cross-functional teams in an Agile/SAFe environment to translate research concepts into robust, production-quality software while improving architecture, testing,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
2+ years of software development experience preferred, particularly within product software development or another complex technical environment.
Strong software design and development experience using C++.
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio or comparable development environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid foundation or demonstrated aptitude in mathematics and physics.
Experience with Agile, SAFe, iterative development, and/or Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Experience designing, implementing, or working with automated software testing frameworks and strategies.
Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary and internationally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with software development teams to define software architecture, interfaces, and design approaches for a scalable image formation platform.
Partnering with research scientists and physicists on data correction, image formation, and data analysis methods.
Designing, documenting, implementing, and optimizing numerical algorithms.
Developing and maintaining production-quality software primarily using C++ in Visual Studio.
Translating mathematical and physical concepts into reliable software implementations.
Designing and implementing automated testing strategies and frameworks.
Developing automated test execution, validation, reporting, and troubleshooting.
Analyzing software and system behavior to identify defects and performance issues.
Supporting diagnosis/resolution of complex issues in Molecular Imaging technologies.
Participating in code reviews, design discussions, testing, and documentation.
Working in Agile/SAFe environments with international teams.
