Google Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a Software Engineer III focused on Storage Infrastructure to design, build, and maintain large-scale production infrastructure software.

The role requires strong C++ programming, experience with distributed systems, and a Bachelor’s degree (Masters/PhD preferred). You will participate in code and design reviews, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and help drive scalable solutions for Google Cloud products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience programming in C++.
• 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.

Responsabilités

• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintaining and improving large-scale production infrastructure software.
• Collaborate with a team of engineering co-workers across the stack to launch features, author and review engineering design documents, and support your immediate team with code reviews.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
