Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III, Security/Privacy for Google Cloud Security and Privacy. The role is based in Kirkland/Seattle, WA, and targets mid-level engineers. You will work on security/privacy focused software, with opportunities to mentor peers and advance privacy-centric systems.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience programming in C++, Java or Go.

  • 2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.

  • 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.

  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.

  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

  • US: $147,000 - $210,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
