Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New Jersey seeks a software engineer to execute solutions across design, development, and troubleshooting, including AI/ML components, to address complex problems.

You will produce architecture artifacts, maintain production code, and collaborate on data visualization and analytics using AI-powered approaches to improve systems.

The role emphasizes secure coding, SDLC knowledge, and participation in communities of practice to drive innovation and inclusive culture.

Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficient in coding in one or more languages including React, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, etc.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.), with practical experience applying AI/ML solutions to real-world problems.

  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies, including AI and ML advancements.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set and location.
