Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers to build next-generation infrastructure and distributed systems at massive scale. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions across AI, cloud, and systems domains.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in C++, Python, or Go, and experience with compute, storage, or hardware architectures; in-person interviews are common and multiple locations are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience programming in C++, Python, or Go.
• 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or compute/storage/hardware architecture.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst technologies.
• Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices and testability.
• Contribute to documentation and adapt content based on updates and user feedback.
• Triage issues and debug/resolve impacts on hardware, network, or service operations.

Minimum qualifications

• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.
