Job summary

You will design, build, and operate micro-services using Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and TypeScript, with cloud-native patterns and secure coding practices. The role emphasizes AWS deployment, IaC, containerization, and performance testing.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years applied experience.
• Backend experience with Java 21, SpringBoot, Spring Cloud.
• Frontend experience with TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience implementing micro-services using Spring Cloud for service discovery and resilience.
• AWS infrastructure using IaC, Lambda, S3, Kafka.
• Hands-on design, development, testing, and operational stability in a large corporate environment.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and validating outputs for security and performance.
• Understanding of responsible AI use and secure engineering practices.
• Knowledge of SDLC and agile CI/CD in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, agentic workflows using TypeScript and APIs using Java, and Spring Boot
• Implement micro-services architecture leveraging Spring Cloud for service discovery, configuration, and resilience

• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
