Job summary

Google’s Pixel team is seeking a Software Engineer III to advance computer vision features for the Pixel Camera. You will contribute to end-to-end product lifecycle, from research and algorithm development to prototyping, optimization, and final commercialization, ensuring sharp, clear images on Pixel phones.

You will work on end-to-end features (AF, AE, AWB), ISP and CV capabilities in a mobile-centric environment, collaborating with Hardware, Research and Chip design teams to push imaging

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with software development in C++.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
• 1 year of experience with computer vision, imaging, or augmented reality platforms.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Research and develop 3A (Autofocus, Auto exposure, Auto white balance), ISP (image signal processor) and other computational photography/computer vision features such as depth map, scene understanding that are mobile friendly and simulate the physical world.
• Conduct new feature development, productization, and system specification, through software prototyping, simulation, and image quality characterization.
• Work with cross-functional teams such as Hardware, Research, and Chip design teams.
