About the Role

CrowdStrike is seeking a Cloud Engineer III to join our Asset Management Engineering team. This team is dedicated to delivering top-tier experiences to our customers by providing centralized visibility into their asset and application usage. We offer application inventory solutions that provide insights and management capabilities for the applications running on assets, ultimately securing the digital perimeter and preventing breaches. As a member of this team, you will help build a pipeline that ingests billions of events a day, and aggregate this data into a unified application inventory. You will own a significant portion of the stack and collaborate closely with Cloud Engineers, UI Engineers, Product teams, and other stakeholders to build and enhance our Asset Management solutions.

What You'll Do
  • Design and build backend microservices in Golang that process data across multiple pipelines
  • Own a meaningful portion of the application inventory stack end to end, from data ingestion through enrichment, storage, and API layers
  • Collaborate across Cloud, UI, and Product teams to translate open-ended problems into scoped, shippable increments
  • Maintain and improve services with a strong focus on quality through testing, logging, and metrics
  • Set the technical bar on observability, reliability, and code quality, and actively contribute to growing the engineers around you
  • Take full ownership of your work in a high-trust, autonomous environment
  • Understand business and engineering requirements so that you can be proactive in sharing ideas and solutions
  • Launch and support features that will be used by millions of users around the world
What You'll Need
  • 5+ years (Avg YoE: 6-10 yrs) of overall software engineering experience
  • 3+ years in Golang, Kafka, Cassandra, or similar
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts including queues, concurrency, sharding, and partitioning
  • Experience with microservice architectures, multi-region deployments, and observability and reliability engineering
  • Strong debugging skills across the full stack in complex, high-traffic production environments
  • A thorough understanding of engineering best practices including testing paradigms, peer code review, and resilient architecture design
  • Proven ability to integrate AI into daily workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes
  • Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible usage practices
  • Multiple years of experience debugging complex issues at every level of the stack
  • The ability to work independently, but also collaboratively
Bonus
  • Docker and Kubernetes experience
  • Cassandra, OpenSearch, and Pinot experience
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity — welcome, though not required
Benefits of Working at CrowdStrike:
