Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to join the Corporate Technology FINTECH team in Columbus, OH. You’ll design and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, scalable way, contributing across multiple technical areas to support the firm’s objectives.

You’ll lead end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines on Databricks, orchestrate AWS-based workflows, and enforce access controls and data security using Terraform and best practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
• 3+ years of experience with Databricks, PySpark, AWS and building ETL pipelines from scratch
• 3+ years of AWS experience (Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, storage)
• 3+ years of software engineering with Python and Terraform
• Hands-on experience with NiFi, Airflow and Autosys
• Strong REST API development using FASTAPI or similar frameworks
• Strong SQL skills with joins and aggregations

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines on Databricks using PySpark and SQL
• Develop and orchestrate AWS-based data workflows with Lambda, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, API Gateway
• Implement orchestration and operations using Airflow/NiFi/Autosys with SLAs and runbooks
• Build secure data-access controls via Terraform and enforce backup, recovery, and archiving
