Job summary

Google LLC is hiring software engineers to develop next-generation technologies at scale in Sunnyvale, CA. You will work across information retrieval, distributed computing, and large-scale systems, with opportunities to switch teams as projects evolve.

The AI and Infrastructure team delivers breakthrough capabilities, enabling Google Cloud and billions of users to benefit from advanced AI models and high-performance infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience programming in Python or C++.
• 1 year of experience with ML-related areas such as speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or other ML fields.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (model deployment, evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content after product updates.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/resolve with analysis of impact on hardware, network, or services.
• Implement ML solutions, utilize ML infrastructure, and contribute to model optimization and data processing.

• Write product or system development code.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices amongst available technologies (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency,).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Implement solutions in one or more specialized ML areas, utilize ML infrastructure, and contribute to model optimization and data processing.
