Renaissance is seeking a Software Engineer III to build features across the discovery layer—from search and browse for teachers to governance for admins and exploration for students. You will implement backend services with relational and non-relational stores and cloud infrastructure, while delivering frontend work in TypeScript/React with accessible UI and contract testing.
You will adopt Renaissance’s S3 model of software development, focusing on multi-agent coordination and scalable system
When you join Renaissance®, you join a global leader in pre-K–12 education technology! Renaissance’s solutions help educators analyze, customize, and plan personalized learning paths for students, allowing time for what matters—creating energizing learning experiences in the classroom. Our fiercely passionate employees and educational partners have helped drive phenomenal student growth, with Renaissance solutions being used in over one-third of US schools and in more than 100 countries worldwide.
Every day, we are connected to our mission by exemplifying our values: trust each other, win together, strive for the best, own our actions, and grow and evolve.
As a Software Engineer III, you will build features across the discovery layer and the products behind it: the search and browse experiences teachers use to find the right lesson, the curation tools admins use to govern what their district sees, and the services that make four separate products feel like one library. You will be making it fast and intuitive for admins to govern and curate, for teachers to find and instruct, and for students to explore and grow their respective libraries. You will work with a high degree of independence and help ensure that problems and solutions are appropriately scoped.
In addition, you will be the first team to adopt Renaissance’s S3model of software development. You will be expected to build multi-agent orchestration, where specialized agents coordinate on complete features and engineers shift from managing individual tasks to designing the systems that produce the work.
All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
