Job summary

Agile Defense, LLC, located in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain non-embedded software for the Tomahawk program. The role requires a Secret clearance and a CS degree or Security+ certification, with 5+ years of experience in VB.NET/C#.NET and SQL.

The candidate will work in a Boeing facility environment on end-to-end software projects, including testing, debugging, and implementing new technologies and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI per program requirements.
  • 5+ years of software development experience in non-embedded systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with VB.NET or C#.NET (including .NET Framework).
  • 3+ years of SQL or other relational databases.
  • 1+ years of unit testing with frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.

Responsibilities

  • Design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle.
  • Translate customer requirements into initial software design.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize software for systems integrations.
  • Debug and resolve issues to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Handle user inquiries and analyze feedback; support regulatory changes.

Job Description
  • Design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, and safety standards for the Tomahawk program.
  • Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products.
  • Developing, maintaining, enhancing and optimizing software products and functionalities for systems integrations.
  • Debug and resolve issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.
  • Handles user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues and user feedback analysis.
  • Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development
  • Execute and document software research and development projects
Education & Years of Experience
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or a degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years
Required Skills
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS with the ability to obtain an SCI
  • 5+ years of experience with VB.NET or C#.NET (including .NET Framework)
  • 3+ years of SQL or other relational database
  • 1+ years of Unit testing frameworks like xUnit, nUnit, or MSTest
Preferred Skills
  • Windows Environment (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)
  • Knowledge of Windows Desktop Development Project Management Tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
  • Azure DevOps Pipelines or other CI/CD tools Microservices or RESTful APIs Agile experience
