Grainger is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Software Engineer III) to join the Continuous Improvement and Automation team. You will design, code, test, and support applications delivered on time and within budget, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with product managers to translate business needs into technical solutions.

You'll build scalable software, work with users to turn requirements into practical integrations and AI-enabled automation, and help shape our engineering

Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $104,500.00-$174,200.00. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 10% or $, based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.

As a Senior Software Engineer (Software Engineer III) you will be involved in the full systems life cycle and responsible for designing, coding, configuring, testing, implementing and supporting application software and systems that are delivered on time and within budget. In addition to mentoring junior engineers, you will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders and product managers to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and physical design of technical solutions

On the Continuous Improvement and Automation team, you'll build software that reduces manual work, improves incident response, and helps technology teams solve operational challenges. You'll work directly with users to turn their needs into practical applications, system integrations, and AI-enabled automation. As part of a small, collaborative team, you'll help shape what we build, explore emerging technologies, and take solutions from concept through production - a clear view of the impact your work makes.

You Have

• Experience analyzing and interpreting complex problems and processes
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices
