Walmart is seeking a Software Engineer with strong modern C++ expertise and hands-on Linux development experience. You will design, implement, test, and release high-performance systems in collaboration with QA and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include designing backend components, building tooling with Python and shell scripts, debugging Linux apps, and participating in architecture decisions. Dallas-based role with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field; 2 years of software engineering experience required.
• Option 2: 4 years of software engineering experience required.
• Master’s degree in CS preferred for some roles.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including strong hands-on C++ development.

• Strongproficiencyin modern C++ (C++11/C++14/C++17/C++20).

• Solid Linuxexpertise, including command-line workflows and debugging fundamentals.

• Experience with build systems/toolchains such as Make,CMake, and GCC/Clang.

• Practical scripting experience in shell and Python for automation/tooling.

• Good foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

• Experience with Git and collaborative code review workflows.

• Strong problem-solving ability and clear technical communication skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
