Job summary

RealmOne, based in Columbia, MD, seeks a Level 2 Software Engineer focused on testing and quality assurance. You will design and execute automated and manual tests for analytics, data processing, and real-time systems, working with Linux environments and modern QA tools.

You will create test plans, support UAT, document RVTM matrices, and collaborate across teams to improve QA processes, alignment with requirements, and overall product quality. An active clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• 2 years of work experience in the SIGINT, IA, or IT domains.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to computer engineering or computer science disciplines. 4 years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 9 years.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document results.
• Execute both manual and automated tests, including functional, regression, UAT, API, accessibility (508), and role-based testing.
• Identify, document, track, verify defects with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments.
• Analyze test outcomes and provide actionable feedback to developers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks to increase coverage for critical workflows.
• Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning/review sessions.
• Help define and refine QA processes, standards, and best practices.
