Base-2 Solutions, LLC. is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 to support the VISTA (SRE Team).

The role emphasizes developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems and infrastructure-driven software solutions for mission requirements, with a focus on Linux, automation, virtualization, networking, storage, and monitoring in enterprise environments. The candidate will join a team of experienced engineers, lead initiatives appropriate to the process, and work across system

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
Fourteen (14) years of software engineering experience in similar scope.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
DevOps experience with strong Linux proficiency.
Experience with VMware vSphere and Cisco technologies.
Experience with NetApp storage and Puppet.

Responsibilities

Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
Debug existing software and correct defects.
Integrate software into new or modified systems or environments.
Develop simple data queries for databases or data repositories.
Provide recommendations for improving documentation and standards.
Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance standards.
Assist with testing procedures for software components.
Write or review software and system documentation.
Lead teams in line with the chosen software development process.
