Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs in Seattle is seeking a security-focused software engineer to design and develop new security components for our autonomous vehicle platform. You will embed security within autonomy and infrastructure frameworks and collaborate with partner teams on architectural design reviews.

You will translate product requirements into production-quality C++17 and Golang code with unit and integration tests, perform threat modeling, and contribute to secure cloud services for onboard

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of industry experience.
• Proficiency with production-quality C++ and Golang.
• Proficiency with C++17, STL, and Golang.
• Experience in security architectural strategy, including threat modeling and security code reviews.
• Experience with secure design and implementation for onboard vehicle platforms and cloud services.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to translate requirements into production-quality code with tests.
• Knowledge of autonomous vehicle security concepts and ability to learn new C++ frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Team-oriented with architecture review experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new security components for our autonomous vehicle platform
• Build and embed security components within autonomy frameworks and infrastructure frameworks
• Work with partner teams to perform architectural design reviews of software, hardware, and services

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of industry experience
• Ability and desire to write production-quality code in C++ and Golang
• Proficiency with C++17, STL, and Golang
• Experience conducting security architectural strategy, including threat modeling and security code reviews
• Experience with secure design and implementation of technology for an onboard vehicle platform and cloud services
• Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with software engineers and explain security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to translate product requirements into independent, production-quality code with unit and integration tests
• Knowledge of autonomous vehicle security concepts and ability to learn and create new C++ frameworks
• Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide architecture reviews

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $139,000 - $201,500 per year
• Eligibility for annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits
