Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a software engineer to design, code, test, deploy, and operate production-grade frontend and backend systems with a focus on AI-powered workflows. You will run experiments, collaborate with product teams, and scale solutions across healthcare revenue cycle processes.

You will contribute to building secure, reliable platforms and partner with AI/ML engineers to deliver AI-native capabilities that impact real business outcomes and patient experiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building and operating production systems.
• Experience owning features or services end-to-end in production.
• Able to talk to users to understand needs and design solutions with product partners.
• Comfortable scaling production systems, debugging performance and data issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, deploy, and operate frontend apps, backend services, data pipelines, and AI systems.
• Run A/B tests and ship production features tied to real business outcomes.
• Partner with product managers and operators to automate workflows.
• Work with AI/ML engineers to build AI-native systems combining deterministic logic and ML/LLMs.
• Design and build secure, compliant, and reliable systems at scale.
