Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Software Engineer who blends accounting experience with software development in fintech. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining financial processes software, applying domain knowledge to improve automation and reconciliation workflows.

You will contribute across the stack (Golang, React, MySQL) and help ensure accurate financial reporting. Prior accounting or financial analysis background is valued; comfort with AI tools like Claude is a plus; collaboration

Qualifications

• Has experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python/Java/Go) and familiar with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with backend API development and relational DB storage/retrieval.
• Familiar with software engineering tools, release processes, and AI tooling usage.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial software solutions.
• Contribute to the software development lifecycle and feature delivery.
• Improve automation and reconciliation workflows using accounting knowledge.
