Google LLC in the United States is seeking a software engineer to help develop the next generation of information retrieval, distributed systems, and AI-powered platforms. You will design, test, deploy, and maintain software across critical projects, with opportunities to switch teams as the company grows.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 1 year of software development in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript; experience with web/mobile

• Experience with web/mobile development, Unix/Linux, distributed systems, ML/AI, IR, NLP, networking or security software.
• Experience using AI productivity tools to streamline workflows.
• Master's degree in CS or related field is preferred.
• Experience with ML algorithms and LP/AI toolchains is a plus.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript) in an industry setting.
• Experience working with one or more of the following: Web or Mobile Application Development, Unix/Linux environments, Distributed and Parallel Systems, Machine Learning or AI, Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, Networking, Developing Software Systems, or Security Software Development.
• Experience utilizing AI productivity tools to streamline business or development workflows.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and tools, Basics of Machine Learning, Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), Recommendations/Ranking/Predictions, Natural Language Processing, Speech Audio, Machine Learning Infrastructure, Reinforcement Learning, and Computer Vision.
• Experience developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $123000 - $174000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
