Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Customer Engagement Systems team and build telecom applications powering how customers order, activate, and manage their broadband subscriptions.

You will design, implement, and integrate telecom components with core networking, participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment, and mentor teammates on system architecture and maintenance. This role emphasizes reliability, scalability, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered or distributed software applications and services.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement telecom components, applications, and services for customer ordering, billing, subscriber management, and notifications
• Partner with Satellite, Networks, and Security teams to integrate Customer Engagement Systems with the core network
• Design scalable components and data models to support high-reliability communications workloads
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle including code reviews, testing, deployment, and operational support
• Document system architecture and mentor teammates on software construction and maintenance
