Role Overview

Join our Business Intelligence team as a full-time Software Engineer II (medior). Remote work in Central & Eastern Europe, with optional office space in Bratislava, Brno, or Prague. Salary starts at 3000 EUR gross per month, adjusted based on experience and skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain components that empower clients to make smart business decisions, turning complex data into actionable insights.
• Design and implement APIs for data access and manipulation, and integrate GenAI / LLM models as backend services.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, data scientists, and product managers for seamless integration of BI features.
• Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests; implement robust logging, monitoring for KPIs, and perform code reviews with QA engineers.
• Provide L3 support for client inquiries, troubleshoot backend issues, implement bug fixes and performance enhancements, document codebase and processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Python engineering; strong Python skills essential.
• Experience with data processing, data structures, algorithms; solid understanding of software architecture principles.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with common data analysis and ML frameworks; understanding of ML integration.
• Strong initiative, proactive problem solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for learning new technologies and continuous improvement.

Success Timeline

• 30 Days: Onboard, contribute to tasks, demonstrate codebase understanding.
• 90 Days: Design discussions, deliver high-quality code, investigate production issues.
• 180 Days: Manage larger tasks, contribute to improvements, handle L3 support independently.
