Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a software engineer to help scale Uber One’s global membership platform across Rides, Eats, and beyond.

You will design high-availability systems and collaborate with product managers and designers to ship meaningful features for millions of users. The role requires 2+ years in software engineering, knowledge of OO languages (Go, Java, Python, or C++), and a track record of fast learning.

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Backend Proficiency: High proficiency in Golang or Java.
• System Complexity: Comfortable building and maintaining highly distributed systems.
• Ownership & Velocity: A strong sense of ownership and a history of shipping high-quality features on schedule in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and guide technical strategy.
• Communication: Ability to translate complex technical jargon into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Data Savvy: Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Hive) to inform technical and product decisions.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $171,000 per year - USD $190,000 per year.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
