Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design and build large-scale, next-generation Access Management systems. You will contribute to key engineering decisions shaping the Amazon developer experience, spanning design, implementation, documentation, deployment, and operations across multiple products.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers and leadership to deliver high-impact, extensible security capabilities for diverse Amazon businesses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to engineering decisions shaping developer experience across products.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and leadership to deliver high-impact security capabilities.
• Participate in on-call rotation to resolve incidents and improve fault-tolerance.
