The Allen Institute is seeking a talented developer to build web-based and Python tools for processing and visualizing large-scale 5D biological imaging data. You will work on front-end and Python tooling to assist scientists, with collaboration across design and research teams in a supportive environment.
Ideal candidates have experience with Typescript/CSS/React and Python for scientific computing, plus an interest in performance, scalability, and databases.

The goal of Cellscapes is to create the first holistic framework to predict how cells self-organize into complex cell communities and tissues in order to program an entirely new kind of synthetic tissue that can be used to ask focused questions about how cells behave, including in response to drug interventions.
We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic developer to build Web-based and Python tools for processing and visualizing large scale 5D biological imaging data. The ideal candidate enjoys learning new tools and techniques while remaining diligent and detail oriented. This engineer will receive technical guidance and enjoy professional growth opportunities in a supportive environment. As a member of our close, collaborative team, you will have the freedom to contribute to as much of our code and design processes as you would like, based on your interests and skills.
