Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to support a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment and precision technology solutions. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that interface with industrial equipment and automation systems. The engineer will work on both new software development and enhancements to existing applications, including developing user interfaces, integrating APIs, troubleshooting technical issues, and adapting software to support new hardware. This role will also involve researching technical solutions, developing software prototypes, and collaborating with senior engineers to support ongoing product development initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably within industrial automation or equipment software development.
• Hands-on experience developing software applications and user interfaces.
• Experience developing and integrating APIs to enable communication between software applications and systems.
• Experience with SECS/GEM protocols and industrial automation systems.
• Strong software development fundamentals, including programming, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience developing software applications using C# or Python.
• Experience developing software for semiconductor manufacturing equipment or factory automation systems.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted software development tools.
• Experience conducting technical research, developing prototypes, and evaluating new engineering solutions.
