Tickets For Less, a leading live entertainment and technology company based in Overland Park, KS, seeks a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain software solutions across front-end and back-end systems. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3-6 years of software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect robust software solutions.
  • Design, develop, and optimize high-quality software applications.
  • Enhance UI aesthetics and functionality across digital platforms.
  • Drive evolution of back-end systems and APIs for ticketing infrastructure.
  • Mentor junior engineers and oversee code reviews.
  • Collaborate with QA to address bugs and performance issues.

Software Engineer II

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile setting to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs and business objectives. You will be seasoned in software development, capable of contributing to complex projects, and adept at front-end and back-end technologies. At TFL, you'll engage in a spectrum of tasks from enhancing user interfaces to optimizing our comprehensive back-end systems, playing a crucial role in advancing our ticketing solutions.

Responsibilities & Job Duties (include, but are not limited to)
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect robust solutions that align with user needs and business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and optimize high-quality software applications, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Enhance user interface aesthetics and functionality for our digital platforms, ensuring optimal user engagement.
  • Drive the evolution of our back-end systems and APIs, which are foundational to our sophisticated ticketing infrastructure.
  • Mentor junior engineers, overseeing code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, efficiency, and maintainability.
  • Work in tandem with Quality Assurance to refine our offerings, addressing bugs and performance bottlenecks swiftly.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements to infuse cutting-edge solutions into our products and services.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, complemented by industry experience.
  • 3-6 years of demonstrated software engineering work experience.
  • Proficient in advanced software development concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Mastery of object-oriented programming languages such as C#.
  • Expertise in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) is expected.
  • In-depth knowledge of server-side technologies and database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with Cloud Computing Services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving prowess and a track record of swiftly mastering new technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proclivity for teamwork and collaborative environments.
  • Prior experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is essential.
  • A passion for solving problems and eagerness to contribute meaningfully to the company's objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Microsoft .NET technology stack (C#, MVC .NET, ASP.NET, et al)
  • Experience in PHP
  • Experience in front-end technology stacks (Javascript, React, Svelte, SCSS with experience in Tailwind, Webpack, et al)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS Cloud Computing Platform
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with Elastic
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience in deployment automation and IaC (infrastructure as code)
  • Familiarity with the event ticketing industry
