Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA seeks a Software Engineer II – Operations Software to develop and maintain telemetry display, data ingestion and command interfaces for Electron, Neutron and Photon testing and mission operations.

You will join the Operations Software Team to deliver reliable software, work with Terrestrial Software, and contribute to mission success through robust documentation and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within a related field.
  • Golang Development

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain user facing software that is used to launch rockets and perform on-orbit operations for spacecraft.
  • Develop and maintain software to ingest, process and store telemetry data.
  • Perform independent engineering as allocated and may have product ownership as a responsible engineer.
  • Develop documentation for operation of software products.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER - OPERATIONS SOFTWARE

This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.

Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base Pay Range (CA Only)

$102,000 — $128,000 USD
